Ryan, T. Claude
Ryan, T. (Tubal) Claude
(1898–1982) aircraft manufacturer; born in Parson, Ky. After flying for the Aerial Forest Patrol, in 1922 he formed a flying service that became Ryan Airlines Inc., in 1925. In 1927 he helped build Charles Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis. In 1933 he formed Ryan Aeronautical to build planes, including jet trainers for the military.
