The move seems in line with the International Monetary Fund's suggestion to amend the
SBL and the definition of 'large exposures' so that both apply on a solo and consolidated basis, include all on-and off-balance sheet exposures, and use the same definition of capital.
Fletcher had been with
SBL since its acquisition of Central Transport in 1997 and served as the company's chief executive officer since 2008.
The official further mentioned that the
SBL Group had obtained both Indian and foreign currency loans from Indian banks.
The separate
SBL should release more funds for the government's infra-structure program, which in the past has been restricted by the lending rules.
The Union City transaction is one of RED's largest
SBL portfolio financings to date and one of a growing number of portfolios financed by RED in the small balance space.
Advisors' clients now have the opportunity to refinance existing
SBL's with GS Select.

The terms and rates of the
SBL financing will help to keep the properties, which are largely home to working-class New Yorkers, in solid financial standing for the long-term, said CPC in a press release.
