Sandy Creek Covered Bridge State Historic Site
Location:Near Goldman, off Highway 21, in Jefferson County.
Facilities:Historic bridge, picnic area.
Activities:Picnicking.
Special Features:Bridge was built in 1872 as part of a Jefferson County building program
after the Civil War. It was destroyed by floodwaters in 1886 and
rebuilt the following year. The bridge's appearance is that of an old
red barn.
