We cleared Nematoda (
Secernentea) and Annelida (Oligochaeta) with lactophenol or glycerol and mounted them on temporary slides (Lamothe-Argumedo, 1997; Govedich et al., 2010).
Taxonomicamente se encontraron 29 generos de nematodos pertenecientes a dos clases: Secernentea, ubicados en los ordenes Aphelenchida, Monhysterida, Rhabditida y Tylenchida, y Adenophorea, ubicados en los ordenes Araeolaimida, Dorylaimida y Triplonchida; encontrandose la mayor cantidad de generos, 11 en total, de habito bacteriofago pertenecientes al orden Rhabditida (Tabla 1).
Fueron encontrados 26 generos de nematodos, la mayoria pertenecientes a la clase Secernentea, ubicados en los ordenes Aphelenchida, Rhabditida y Tylenchida, y en menor proporcion en la clase Adenophorea ubicados en los ordenes Chromadorida, Dorylaimida y Triplonchida (Tabla 2).

When choosing the four species, we diversity them in an "unbalanced" way by choosing two species from the same class (i.e., mammals) and the other two species each from totally different classes (i.e., one
secernentea and one insect).
Teratocephalus lirellus was included as a representative of the most basal member of the
Secernentea. Outgroups were chosen on the basis of the fact that two major clades of rhabditids can be distinguished, Pleiorhabditis and Eurhabditis.
