The hardened surface won't allow the
set screw to bite into the steel.
Even so, I am not a big fan of gas blocks with
set screws due to the potential for failure.
In their discussion they mention that the migration could be the result of failure of the
set screw or insufficient fastening of the
set screw.
Use a drill bit that will just clear the threads in the
set screw hole and drill a shallow dimple in the barrel.
Equipped with a quick-change crimp frame, the bottom die just lifts out and the top die is held in with only one
set screw. The closing ram is activated by an operator controlled foot pedal.
Do not tighten any further and leave the
set screw loose.

To remove a standard handle, loosen the small
set screw (Photo 1) on the underside.
The handle is completely rounded and smooth, extending 5[inches] from the center
set screw. The underside features a raised dimple at the end of the handle to provide nonslip gripping.
Others, such as the XS Express Night Sight, slip easily into the dovetail and then tighten by means of a
set screw. Either works properly if understood.
