Sheerness

 

a city and port in Great Britain, in the county of Kent. Situated at the entrance to the Thames estuary, on the Isle of Sheppey. Part of the borough of Queensborough-in-Sheppey. Population, 106,700 (1976). Government dockyards are located in the city.
