Location:3 miles west of Pacagoula, south of US 90 at Gautier.
Facilities:28 developed campsites with water and electric hookups and a bathhouse, 10 primitive tent campsites, group camp (tents only), restrooms, picnic areas, pavilion, nature trails (5 miles), playground, soccer/recreation field, 18-hole disc golf course, visitor center, gift shop.
Activities:Camping, hiking.
Special Features:Park is located in a scenic coastal area, in Pascagoula River country, where legend has it that members of the Pascagoula Indian nation linked hands and walked into the river rather than being taken captive by hostile tribes. Their mournful death chant gave the river its nickname, the "Singing River."
