(1) The former name of Information Builder's data warehousing software (see MetaDirectory).

(2) An earlier object extension to a Mac database from Smartsoft Development, Lubeck, Germany. It provided a central repository for business logic and worked with any database that supported Apple's Enterprise Objects Framework (EOF).
