Snigirevka

 

a city (until 1961, an urban-type settlement) and administrative center of Snigirevka Raion, Nikolaev Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Located on the right bank of the Ingulets River, a tributary of the Dnieper. Railroad junction with lines to Nikolaev, Kherson, Kakhovka, and Apostolovo. Population, 17,000 (1975). Enterprises include a plant for mechanical repairs, a plant for the manufacture of reinforced-concrete products, a butter factory, and a cannery.
