Location:25 miles southwest of Peoria on the east side of the Illinois River, in Tazewell County.
Facilities:70 Class C tent or trailer campsites (no showers or electric hookups), primitive walk-in tent campground (group camping permitted here), 5 day-use picnic areas, shelters, hiking trails (7.5 miles), concession stand, boat rentals, boat ramps.
Activities:Camping, boating (25 HP limit), fishing, hiking, hunting, ice fishing.
Special Features:Overlooked by a large sandstone bluff, Spring Lake is a long, narrow lake created by a meander of the Illinois River. The lake covers an area of 1,285 acres, with 18 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 10 feet.
