Hypericum perforatum. A herbacious perennial that has been used for millennia for its many medicinal properties, including wound healing and treatment of kidney and lung ailments, insomnia, and depression.

The herb St John's wort, has two unique components, hypericin and hyperforin, which have an antidepressant action.
