Location:On the south side of the Illinois River, 1 mile south of Utica, and midway between the cities of LaSalle-Peru and Ottawa.
Facilities:Lodge with 72 luxury hotel rooms and 22 cabin rooms, restaurant, conference area, meeting rooms, indoor swimming pool, children's pool, whirpool, saunas, and sunning patio; 133 Class A-Premium campsites with electricity, showers, and flush toilets, youth group camping area, children's playground, camp store; picnic areas, 8 shelters, restrooms; hiking trails through park's bluffs and canyons (13 miles), horse rentals (nearby), boat ramps; visitor center.

Special Features:The backdrop for activities at Starved Rock is 18 canyons formed by glacial meltwater and stream erosion that slice through tree-covered sandstone bluffs. The end-of-winter thaw and spring rains combine to create waterfalls at the heads of all 18 canyons, and vertical walls of moss-covered stone create a setting of natural geographic beauty uncommon in Illinois.
