Structural engineering

A branch of engineering concerned with the design and construction of structures to withstand physical forces or displacements without danger of collapse or without loss of serviceability or function. It includes inspection, analysis, design, planning, and research of structural components and structural systems. Structural engineers generally look at technical, economic, and environmental concerns.
