Taiganos

 

a peninsula in northeastern Asia, in Magadan and Kamchatka oblasts, RSFSR. The peninsula juts into Shelikhov Gulf of the Sea of Okhotsk and separates Gizhiga Inlet, in the west, from Penzhina Bay, in the east. It has a maximum elevation of 1,483 m. Arctic mountain tundra vegetation predominates.
