Taptic Engine

Apple's branding of its haptic feedback first implemented in the Apple Watch, which taps the user on the wrist. The Taptic Engine functions migrated to other Apple products including the iPhone 7, which previously used a linear accelerator to create vibrations. The Taptic Engine is also used to give the illusion of a click on Mac trackpads. See haptic interface.

Apple's proprietary Taptic Engine, a system also found in the Apple Watch, is a haptic user interface technology that uses vibratory solenoid to reproduce physical a vibration or tapping sensation when the device is touched.
"Taptic Engine" is Apple's fancy word for the thing that vibrates.
The device makes it possible to pay for purchases with a movement of your wrist, gets you oriented, lets you communicate via something ominously called a Taptic Engine (defined in Apple's marketing copy as "a linear actuator.
As for the rumoured specifications, the new iPhones could feature Apple's latest A13 chipset and a new Taptic Engine, codenamed "leap haptics." While we don't know a lot about the new Taptic Engine as of now, it could replace 3D Touch on this year's iPhones.
These iPhones are said to feature the A13 chip, and new taptic engine. Additionally, the upcoming iPhone lineup could feature a triple rear camera setup.
As for this year, the tech giant might launch three iPhone 11 models with A13 chip, taptic engine, and more.
