Telmansk

Tel’mansk
(until 1938, Taza-Kala), an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Tel’mansk Raion, Tashauz Oblast, Turkmen SSR. It is located in the Khorezm Oasis, 35 km north of the Tashauz railway station on the Chardzhou-Beineu line. Tel’mansk has an amateur theater. There is an asphalt plant in the vicinity. The settlement was named after E. Thälmann.
