Special Features:Refuge is home to an estimated 100-120 Louisiana black bears, a threatened species.
Habitats: 64,012 acres of open water, woodlands, croplands, reforested fields, and wetlands.
Access: Open 24 hours a day.
Wild life: Black bears, ducks, geese, raptors, wading birds, and shorebirds.
