Trova, Ernest

Trova, Ernest (Tino)

(1927–  ) sculptor, painter; born in St. Louis, Mo. Based in St. Louis, he began as a painter influenced by Willem de Kooning (1940s and 1950s), then started his Falling Man sculpture series, using chrome plated bronze, silver Plexiglas, glass, and epoxy. By 1980 he began his Poet sculptures, an exploration of man's relationship to the environment.
