Tumaco

 

a city in southwestern Colombia, in Nariño Department. Population, 80,300 (1968). Tumaco is a port on the Pacific Ocean from which coffee, cacao, tobacco, metals, and timber are exported. The city has a refinery that processes crude oil piped from the Orito oil field in Putumayo Department.
