Unsymmetrical Bending
in strength of materials, a type of deformation characterized by distortion (change of curvature) of a bar under the influence of external forces that pass through its axis and do not coincide with any of its principal planes (for example, passing through the axis of symmetry of the cross section). Unsymmetrical bending is a special case of resistance to combined stress.
