V-beam radar

A volumetric radar system that uses two fan beams to determine the distance, bearing, and height of a target: one beam is vertical and the other inclined; the beams intersect at ground level and rotate continuously about a vertical axis; the time difference between the arrivals of the echoes of the two beams is a measure of target elevation.
