VESA Plug & Display
A VESA standard digital interface for a flat panel display. Based on TMDS transmission and evolving from the VESA Enhanced Video Connector (EVC), VESA Plug & Display (P&D) also supported the analog interface and VGA connector. Although it allowed USB and FireWire signals to be carried with the digital video stream, it was never widely used. See DVI, flat panel display and VESA Enhanced Video Connector.

The P&D connector and subsequent DVI connectors used the same kind of angled, twisted pins. There were P&D-to-DVI adapters to hook up earlier P&D products to DVI devices. |
