Vozhe

 

a lake in the northern section of Vologda Oblast, RSFSR. Area, 416 sq km; greatest depth, 4.5 m. Water from this lake flows through the Svid’ River north into Lake Lacha, from which it flows out into the Onega River. The banks of the Vozhe are mostly low-lying and, in the north-western section, very swampy. The rivers Vozhega and Modlona flow into Lake Vozhe.
