Walker, Ralph Thomas

Walker, Ralph Thomas

(1889–1973) architect; born in Waterbury, Conn. He was known for his 1920s art deco skyscrapers; later he designed hundreds of labs and research centers. He was acclaimed in 1957 by the American Institute of Architects as "the architect of the century" and by Frank Lloyd Wright as "the only other architect in America."
