Wallace State Park
Location:2 miles east of I-35 Exit 48, on Highway 21 in Clinton County.
Facilities:35 basic campsites, 42 electric campsites, showers, playground, special use area,
travel camp, picnic sites, 2 picnic shelters (1 open, 1 enclosed),
hiking trails, beach.
Activities:Camping, lake fishing, swimming, hiking.
Special Features:Park's principal attraction is its peacefulness. The campground is
favored by families and senior citizens and includes a travel camping
area as well as a special use area popular with youth organizations.
Twenty miles southwest of the park is Trice-Dedman Memorial Woods, a
significant example of the northern Missouri hardwood forests that
existed before European settlement. Trice-Dedman is owned by the Nature
Conservancy and administered by the state's Department of Natural
Resources.
