Wigner supermultiplet

(nuclear physics)
A set of quantum-mechanical states of a collection of nucleons which form the basis of a representation of SU(4), especially appropriate when spin and isospin dependence of the nuclear interaction may be disregarded; several combinations of spin and isospin multiplets may occur in a supermultiplet.
