William G. Stratton State Park
Location:In the town of Morris, in northeastern Illinois.
Facilities:4 public boat launching ramps, jet ski launching area, picnic tables and benches along the water, multi-use trail.
Activities:Boating, water-skiing, jet skiing, hiking, bicycling, snowmobiling.
Special Features:Park was developed in 1959 to provide boat access to the Illinois
River. Along the park's northern border is the Illinois & Michigan
Canal State Trail (see separate entry), a 61-mile trail for hikers,
bicyclists, and snowmobilers.
