LEADTOOLS Imaging for Linux is built directly upon Xlib, to offer developers more flexibility, greater speed and ease in development and independence of graphical interface.
This leaves the graphical representation of the application domain as an exercise for the developer, who must resort to primitive graphics calls, say to Xlib. A true GUI would include a complete representation of the system being controlled, and would support the ability to interact with the system through the representation.
Although the two GUIs are different, both use the X Windows library (Xlib) and the X network interface.
