Zoser

 

(also Djoser), an ancient Egyptian pharaoh and founder of the Third Dynasty; according to the latest findings, he ruled from circa 2780 to 2760 B.C. Under his rule, the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt into a mighty autocracy was carried to completion, and Memphis was established as its capital. Zoser defeated the nomads of the Sinai Peninsula and consolidated Egyptian power over the copper mines there. He subjugated part of northern Nubia, which he gave to the priests of the god Khnum. South of the First Cataract of the Nile, he built a line of fortifications. In the time of Zoser pyramid building began in ancient Egypt.

The Pyramid of Djoser (or Djeser and Zoser), or Step Pyramid is an archaeological remain in the Saqqara necropolis northwest of the ancient Egyptian city of Memphis.

Several different looks were created: a very harsh, dark, yet sweltering look for the Nubian slaves; a very clean, bright, and carefree look for Princess Amneris; a cool and confident look for Radames; and a dark and unnatural look for Zoser.
Ellen appears opposite Luke Flacks as Ramades, while two more very familiar faces on the operatic scene, are Sharon Whitehead as the Egyptian princess Amneris, and Paul Bennett as the evil-plotting Zoser.
Therefore, if you put a plaque outside your apartment block saying: "These flats were built by Zoser in 4500BC", you would have created a tourist attraction.
