(acoustics)
An arbitrarily designed scale to indicate the noise inside the passenger cabin of an aircraft; on this scale +100 represents ideal conditions or zero noise, 0 represents barely tolerable conditions, and -100 represents intolerable conditions. Abbreviated ACI.
