The product
adsorbent binds the entire spectrum of PFAS including PFOA, PFOS, PFHxS and PFNA efficiently and in a wide variety of removal and remediation processes.
In this work we are interested in a mediterranean red seaweed, the corallina elongata, from the East of Algeria (Jijel city), at first the study concerned its characterization by various methods: TDA, TGA, FTIR, XRD, SEM and EDX, then we studied the adsorption of methylene blue in aqueous solution by varying diverse parameters as pH, temperature, Initial concentration of methylene blue and the mass of
adsorbent.
Moreover Bengal gram (Cicer arientinum L) is widely used in food, medicine, dye and
adsorbent for the sorption of toxic contaminants as heavy metals and dyes.
Coconut coir dust is one of the agricultural waste products often used as
adsorbent in waste water treatment.
Uptake of PNP onto the three
adsorbent may have been in the molecular form rather than the phenolate ions.
In addition, kinetic experiments were conducted with 10 mg/L metal and 0.5 g of the
adsorbent at room temperature with stirring at 120 rpm for 6 h.
Adsorbent. The red mud was obtained from Vedanta Aluminium Ltd., Utkal Alumina, Lanjigarh Refinery, Rayagada, Orissa, and the chemical composition of the raw red mud was presented in Table 1.
Preparation of
Adsorbent. The sugar scum used in this study was brought from a discharge of sugar factory located in Sidi Bennour, Morocco.
Also, these traps were recyclable, unlike other
adsorbents.
