aeropause
A region of indeterminate limits in the upper atmosphere, considered a boundary or transition region between the denser portion of the atmosphere and space. The region in which the atmosphere is so tenuous as to have an almost negligible effect on fliers and aircraft and in which human physiological requirements become increasingly important in the design of aircraft and auxiliary equipment. This limit of the region is raised
continuously as society advances in its knowledge of aeromedical and aeronautical design.
