[18] experimentally studied the effects of freeze-thaw cycles and seawater corrosion on the structural behavior of reinforced air-entrained concrete beams under persistent loads with ratios of 0, 0.3, and 0.5, respectively.
Air-entrained concrete is produced using air-entraining portland cement, or by the introduction of air-entraining agents as the concrete is mixed on the job.
Present works often focused on the impact of freeze-thaw action on relative dynamic modulus of elasticity and weight loss of air-entrained concrete; very little work reported about the mechanical behavior of O-A-E concrete after fast freeze-thaw cycles were formed.
The compressive strength of concrete treated with the microsphere-based admixture technology can be over 30 percent higher than an air-entrained concrete due to net air content difference.
Very little work has been documented on the freezing and thawing durability of air-entrained concrete. This paper presents experimental study on the relative dynamic modulus of elasticity and weight loss of C20, C25, C30, C40, and C50 air-entrained concretes after 0, 100, 200, 300, and 400 cycles of freeze-thaw according to "the test method of long-term and durability on ordinary concrete" GB/T50082-2009 [14].
Also, if you order air-entrained concrete delivered, don't trowel the surface.
Concrete pads should be constructed of air-entrained concrete. The pad should be treated with equal parts of boiled linseed oil and a solvent such as turpentine, mineral spirits, or naphtha to prevent spalling.
The aluminum and magnesium floats are used for work with air-entrained concrete.
Through a microsphere-based agent manufactured at the batch plant, BASF Admixture Systems is positioning producers and their customers to overcome void size and distribution variability long associated with air-entrained concrete mixes.
