A service which promotes the safe and fast movement of aircraft operating in the air or on an airport surface by providing rules, procedures, and information and advisory services for pilots. Abbreviated ATC.
A system comprising enabling legislation, operating procedures, and navigation and communication equipment which is intended to make for the safe and expeditious movement of aircraft from the time that they leave the departure gates to arrival at the terminal gates.
