airspace denial

airspace denial

Denial of use of one's own or designated airspace to enemy aircraft. Fighters are poised to shoot down any intruders. Airspace denial may be done by deploying surface-to-air guided missiles in a suitable manner. This airspace is covered by the kill boundary of the missiles that can be denied to the enemy.
