The patients were most likely infected during
alluvial mining and use of water from the Kwango/Cuango River for domestic activities.
And Janse (1996) suggests that Africa may not only continue to be a major diamond producer, but may again become the major producing diamond province of the world, perhaps thanks to technological breakthroughs at the marine deposits, or perhaps also to new kimberlite discoveries in central and western Africa, where
