In this research, we reported a simple, time saving and facile method to synthesis high surface area calcium
aluminate by simple addition carbon black in the course of the solid state synthesizing.
As a reference, pure magnesium
aluminate Mg[Al.sub.2][O.sub.4] spinel was prepared using commercially available powders of MgO and boehmite (aluminium oxide hydroxide, AlO(OH)), average grain size < 0.77 [micro]m.
Biocompatibility of new calcium
aluminate cement (EndoBinder).
Calcium
aluminate hydrate phases (e.g., [CAH.sub.10], [C.sub.2][AH.sub.8], and [C.sub.3]A[H.sub.6]), that typically form in CAC systems, are prone to phase conversion phenomena [6].
After setting, calcium silicate hydrate (suolunite, [H.sub.2]Ca[O.sub.4]Si; card number: 98-008-7951), calcium
aluminate oxide (mayenite, [Al.sub.14][Ca.sub.12][O.sub.3]3; card number: 01-076-9897), calcium sulfate (CaS[O.sub.4]; card number: 00-043-0606), and calcium sulfate sulfite ([Ca.sub.3][(S[O.sub.3]).sub.2]S[O.sub.4], card number: 00-038- 0701) were also seen in the XRD (Figure 2(d)).
Rare-earth
aluminate garnets are an important family of multi-functional ceramic materials.
The salicylic acid and methanol (SAM) extraction dissolves alite ([C.sub.3][S.sup.1]), belite ([C.sub.2]S), and free lime (CaO), leaving behind a residue of the tricalcium
aluminate ([C.sub.3]A) and ferrite ([C.sub.4]AF) interstitial phases as well as minor phases including periclase (MgO) and alkali sulfates such as arcanite (K[bar.S]), thenardite (N[S.sub.S]), and langbeinite (K[M.sub.2] [[bar.S].sub.3]), calcium sulfates (gypsum, bassanite, and anhydrite), and carbonates (calcite and dolomite).

Results of the research showed that reduction in particle size and addition of the powder of tricalcium
aluminate nanoparticles to the raw material improve the bone growth properties.
