Table 2 lists the values of i and [A.sub.i] for each
angle of elevation. The latter are standardized values [15] derived from calculations that account for the relative areas on the imaginary spherical surface associated with the sound source locations at a given
angle of elevation.
ANSWERS: 1 Edward Kennedy; 2 The
angle of elevation; 3 Stanley Matthews; 4 Reflex; 5 Knightsbridge; 6 Animal Farm, by George Orwell; 7 Who Do You Do; 8 Judo; 9 Canada; 10 William Cobbett.
We calculated two angles to describe the position of the upper arm related to the thorax: (1) the
angle of elevation (Figure 3(b)), defined as the angle between the upper arm and trunk (upper arm parallel with thorax, 0[degrees]; upper arm parallel with horizontal; 90[degrees]), and (2) the plane of elevation (Figure 3(c)), defined as the angle between the thorax and the upper arm in the transversal plane (arm extended forward, 0[degrees]; arm extended to the lateral, -90[degrees]).
Our method was to apply forces calculated at each
angle of elevation for 10,000 cycles each.
Now, given the large number of people waiting in line with me, not to mention my
angle of elevation to those behind, I naturally just assumed it was someone else's shoulder I could feel brushing against me.
Simple geometry can be used to show that the
angle of elevation of the Sun on the meridian near noon is 90[degrees] minus the angular difference between the Sun's declination and an observer's latitude (Kaler, 2002: 43) and the result could be graphed for this specific latitude.
This
angle of elevation is so subtle, only a couple of degrees, that it is probably unnoticeable to the casual observer.
"We had to help construct a model of the local buildings and calculate the
angle of elevation of the sun to piece together where the sun would have been and whether he could've been blinded as he'd claimed."
It was allowable if it did not exceed the
angle of elevation of the Mull of Kintyre from the mainland.
You can view at any
angle of elevation and from any direction.
At a maximum firing
angle of elevation of 35-degrees, the rifle, shotgun and muzzleloader projectiles travel 13,926', 10,378', and 9,197' respectfully.
Their study found that the majority of participants (61.6%) overestimated the
angle of elevation. In our study, all of those who were inaccurate overestimated the
angle of elevation.
