(metallurgy)
An insoluble substance or mixture that collects at the anode in an electrolytic refining or plating process. Also known as anode slime.

Natsir Mansyur, the president of Indosmelt, the company already held the investment principle license to build the smelter which will produce copper cathode, sulfuric acid, copper slag and anode mud. Its copper cathode production is expected to reach 100,000 tons per year, copper slag at 200,000 tons per year to be used by cement factories.
