The anti-balance tab opposes further movement of controls and provides “feel.”

A tab on a control surface that moves in the same direction as the control surface to make it more difficult to move it in an airstream. This results in generation of large aerodynamic forces, which makes it harder to move control surfaces. Antibalance tabs are generally fitted with stabilators. Antibalance tabs act opposite to servotabs.
