It should be noted that the frequency [[omega].sub.0] is the parallel resonance frequency of the [DELTA][C.sub.r] and [C.sub.A] and is also
antiresonance frequency.
For larger frequencies there appear resonance (series)
antiresonance (parallel) oscillatory modes at two different frequency regions.
The effective velocities are defined by [v.sub.r] = [f.sub.r][lambda] and [v.sub.a] = [f.sub.a][lambda] at the resonance and
antiresonance frequencies, respectively.
Figure 7(a) shows a strong surface currents distribution excited at 8 GHz causing an
antiresonance at this frequency resulting in a band notch.
Here, the main parameters of piezoceramics will be compared: the resonance, [f.sub.r], and
antiresonance, [f.sub.a], frequencies of the electrical impedance and its amplitude, the product of each frequency resonance and the length (thickness, t, or diameter, d) associated with the mode of vibration ([f.sub.r] x d and [f.sub.a] x t), and the piezoelectric coupling factor, [k.sup.2] = [f.sup.2.sub.a] - [f.sup.2.sub.r]/[f.sup.2.sub.a].
The Bode diagram clearly shows an
antiresonance, and our purpose is to use the magnitude of this resonance [M.sub.1] to generate the antiresonant magnitude [M.sub.AR].
Considering the significance of structural vibration reduction for spacecraft or their payloads, a vibration
antiresonance design method is especially proposed to realize the vibration reduction in the paper.
In addition, resonance ([f.sub.r]) and
antiresonance ([f.sub.a]) frequencies for these thickness modes of each element are also indicated in Fig.
(74) Although the conference criticized leading Soviet chemists, physicists, and philosophers for various failures to properly uphold Marxist principles because the meeting largely upheld the 1950 report's conclusions, the potentially most damaging consequences of the
antiresonance campaign--the threat to quantum chemistry as a discipline--were averted.
The term
antiresonance is used when the reactive part of the impedance of a EM system is very high.
