antispin parachute

antispin parachute
A parachute meant to assist an aircraft to recover from spin. It is not a standard feature on most aircraft; it is more often used in flight testing. It may be attached to the tail or the wing tips and is deployed to slow the rate of rotation during a spin and thus assist in recovery.
