Apatosaurus
[ə‚pad·ə′sȯr·əs] (paleontology)
A herbivorous sauropod dinosaur, approximately 70 feet (21 meters) long and weighing 30 tons, from the Jurassic Period that had much longer hindlimbs than forelimbs. Also known as Brontosaurus.
