Caption: Figure 6: Preliminary analysis of
arsenate by the LSPR chip.
A much higher [pH.sub.pzc] value of 6.93 for the CS-Fe versus 2.75 in the CS was observed; therefore, it was expected that the CS-Fe would be more conducive to the adsorption of anionic
arsenate.
Conclusions: This study supports the role of vitamin C and E in ameliorating the developing renal tissue from the oxidative stress induced by sodium
arsenate.
The explanation for the limited translocation is that the
arsenate is rapidly reduced to arsenite in the roots and, then, is complexed and sequestered in the vacuoles of root cells, which may reduce its translocation (Su et al., 2008; Zhao et al., 2008).
Chromated copper
arsenate.--CCA-treated (or "green-treated") wood has been widely used since the early 1940s, and it was the most widely used type of treated wood from the 1970s through the early 2000s.
In the present study, an attempt has been made to describe the use of an effective and inexpensive banana waste material for the removal of
arsenate species from ground water samples.
Arsenate (AsV) is quickly reduced in blood to AsIII which proposes high toxicity.
In vascular plants, arsenic is normally stored as the more toxic inorganic forms of
arsenate (As[V]) and arsenite (As[III]) (Koch et al.
Phytochelatin synthesis has been induced on exposure to
arsenate in a number of plant species [79, 94, 95].
The IEC of the selected sample AECFs-6 (Table 1) in the
arsenate form by indirect determination was found to be 1.16 mequiv/g and by direct determination using portable coulometric analyzer was found to be 1.56 mequiv/g.
Zirconium loaded apple peels were found to be able to extract anions such as phosphate,
arsenate, arsenite, and chromate ions from aqueous solutions.
