These sessions provided clinicians with an opportunity to pilot an articulation test that utilized vocabulary in Bosnian and had been developed by the team (the Bosnian Articulation Test).
Speech goals were determined by utilizing information from the Bosnian Articulation Test and the Ling Phonetic Level Evaluation (Ling, 1989).
As there are some widely used, valid, reliable and standardized language and articulation tests in Turkey, the areas that are already covered by these are not included in our forms with the thought that they can be used in combination.
The results of our study showed that the pacifier and non-pacifier users' average scores on the speech articulation tests were within the average range for both groups; however, the pacifier group scored more than 10 percentage points lower on the production of the sounds /s/, /z/, /d/, and /t/ than the group of children who did not use pacifiers.
