atomic hydrogen maser
[ə′täm·ik ′hī·drə·jən ′mā·zər] (physics)
A maser in which dissociated hydrogen atoms from an electric discharge source are formed into a beam that undergoes selective magnetic processing; can be used as an atomic clock.
