automatic manifold air-pressure control
A control that restricts the opening of the throttle butterfly and thus avoids the tendency of the engine to over-pressurize as a result of the action of the supercharger at the lower altitudes. An automatic manifold air-pressure control unit is attached to the throttle for this purpose.
