Many papers present the filters referred to as reconfigurable [11], [12] but in point-of-view of adjustability of bandwidth or quality factor (in the case of band-pass response).
The objective of the present work is to design a thick FSS based radome wall configuration, which can provide superior band-pass response as well as structural rigidity required for airborne radome applications.
It is observed that the optimum band-pass response is achieved for 0.3[lambda] spacing between the layers.
Reasons for apodized and unapodized transducer electrodes, linear and nonlinear finger spacing of interdigital transducers and the use of window functions for improved band-pass response are explained clearly.
The output [I.sub.BPI] remains band-pass response and its corresponding transfer function [F.sub.BP1](s) is
al-Joumayly, "A generalized synthesis procedure for low-profile frequency selective surfaces with odd-order band-pass responses," IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, vol.
In [12] a pseudo-differential second-order current-mode universal filter using seven active (Current Differencing Current Conveyors) and ten passive elements is presented, where only high-, low- and band-pass responses can be directly obtained.
