blowout plug
blowout plug
Plugs located on aircraft skin near the installation of fire extinguishers or high-pressure gaseous oxygen. The blowout plugs release the system pressure if it rises for any reason beyond acceptable values. Colored discs in the blowout plugs, which are easily visible, indicate the operation of these plugs.
