For two fuzzy sets A and B, with membership functions m_A and m_B, the fuzzy set whose membership function m_{A ⊖ B} has the value m_A (x) -m_B (x) for every element x for which m_A (x) ≥ m_B (x), and has the value 0 for every element x for which m_A (x) ≤ m_B (x).
