[′bau̇nd·əd ′dif·rəns] (mathematics)
For two fuzzy sets A and B, with membership functions mA and mB, the fuzzy set whose membership function mA ⊖ B has the value mA (x) -mB (x) for every element x for which mA (x) ≥ mB (x), and has the value 0 for every element x for which mA (x) ≤ mB (x).
